The drug testing requirement which Floyd Mayweather demanded from Manny Pacquiao and which hampered the happening of the proposed March 2010 fight may soon to be an issue of the past. It has been reported that Manny Pacquiao has agreed to drug testing as long as it is 14 days before the fight or 2 weeks before the fight and as long as only a small amount of blood be taken.

With this kind of announcement, it will now be up to Floyd Mayweather whether he will accept the fight or not. But for sure we will see Mayweather fans demanding Floyd to take the fight to settle once and for all who is the greatest between the two fighters. Bob Arum: I will do my Best to make Mayweather Fight Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum signified that he will do his best to make Mayweather fight his prized fighter Pacquiao. Arum however refused to comment to the reports that Pacquiao is softening his stance on his refusal to take the olympic style of drug testing which Mayweather is demanding from Pacquiao.

Arum however made sure that Pacquiao will fight in November and that the site is no other than the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas Texas. He does not dismiss however the possibility of seeing the fight between Pacquiao vs Mayweather take place in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer on the other hand believes that a fight in Last Vegas has an added excitement factor. read more from source




Pacquiao: “I want One Last Fight”

Number one boxer Manny Pacquiao and now Congressman in his native country the Philippines said that wants to fight one last time and that fight would be against Floyd Mayweather. Pacquiao said that many fans clamored for a showdown between him and Mayweather and so he asked for the permission of his mom and the latter willingly obliged.

Pacquiao is currently ranked as the number one pound for pound boxer in the Ring Magazine after he won seven world titles at different weight divisions. On the other hand, Mayweather is undefeated in his 41 fights and is a huge draw as can be seen from his recent fight against Shane Mosley which garnered 1.4 million pay per views. read more from source




Pacquiao vs Mayweather: Back on Track!

The much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather is once again back on the drawing board. This is so due to the removal of two hurdles which prevents the mega fight between the two of the world’s best boxers.

The first one of these hurdles is the election of Pacquiao to the Philippine Congress. Pacquiao was recently chosen by the people of the Sarangani province to represent them in the House of Representatives. Then there is also the fight between Mayweather and Mosley which highlighted Mayweathers skills and power to survive near knockout incidents. The fight also generated 1.4 million PPVs which could increase Mayweather’s bragging rights over Pacquiao during their negotiations. Continue Reading »
